View and Add Storage
With Permanent's endowment model, you pay for the storage you need to preserve your files as you need it, rather than paying for a monthly or yearly subscription. Learn more about how our storage fees work here.

View your account's storage
To check how much storage you have in your Permanent.org account and how much storage you have used, you can check the storage bar in your Account Menu. You can open your Account Menu by clicking your email address in the top right corner of your screen.
Once your Account Menu is open, find the Storage Bar at the top of the menu. The Storage Bar will show you how much storage you have used across all the archives you have uploaded to, as well as your remaining storage.
You can also view your storage usage, as well as purchase additional storage and view your transaction history by clicking the Storage option in your Account Menu.
Add additional storage
If you have run out of storage and need to add additional storage, open the Storage menu by going to your Account Menu in the top right corner of your screen, then clicking Storage. A new window will appear.
In the first tab, Add Storage, you can make a payment for additional storage. Select the amount you would like to pay, then enter your payment information. You can choose to make the transaction anonymous, which means that your name will not show up on our homepage for this transaction.
Whether you make the transaction anonymous or not, your storage will automatically be credited to your account when you make the transaction through the Storage Menu. The transaction will be logged in your Transaction History and you will receive an email with a receipt of your transaction. We sincerely appreciate your support of Permanent.org!
View Transaction History
The third tab in the Storage Menu shows your storage transaction history for your account. Every time you make a transaction on Permanent.org, or receive additional storage through inviting others to Permanent.org or redeeming a Gift Code, the transaction is logged on this page.
