Accepting a Gifted Archive
Welcome to Permanent! We're excited that someone has decided to give you an archive they've built. This article will walk you through creating an account on Permanent.org and getting access to your gifted archive.
Create an account
You should have received an email inviting you to join Permanent.org and collaborate on the archive they've gifted to you. The easiest way to create a Permanent.org account is to follow the link in the email.
Following the link will take you to the sign up page with your name and email address already filled in. Set a password and accept the terms and conditions, then click Sign Up.
You'll be taken to a new page welcoming you to Permanent.org. On this page, you'll see the archive you've been gifted listed. To accept the archive invitation, click Accept. Once the invitation is successfully accepted, you'll see a green "Accepted" notification with a checkmark. Click Next to proceed.
Next, you'll be taken through a couple of questions so we can better tailor the Permanent experience. After you have filled out the questions, you'll be taken to a confirmation page where you should see the archive you've been gifted. Click Done to view the archive.
